J.W. Young Purist Reel is perfect for anglers looking for an all-purpose centrepin reel. Designed with a wide variety of species in mind from grayling to barbel this reel is a joy to use and own. With a main body and a spool machined from high quality aluminium, a brass rod plate and a precision-machined stainless steel spindle, like all J.W. Young Centrepin Reels, Purist II Reels are designed to last. The reel is finished in an understated bronze colour that would look great attached to any rod. All J.W. Young reels are made and built in the UK and come supplied in a presentation box with a reel pouch and certificate of authenticity.

The Purist II main body and spool are machined from the highest quality aluminium bar stock, bronze anodised for protection. The reel is attached to your rod with a brass rod plate machined from bar stock. The back plate, which is finished with laser engraved script, incorporates a simple on/off click drag to the spool and supports the precision machined stainless steel spindle. The Purist comes fitted as standard with a removable lineguard.

The quick release ventilated spool is constructed around a centre hub accurately aligned by means of size spoke, and houses an improved configuration of stainless steel bearings. An added feature is the easy removal of the handles, to enable the purist to hand control the spool with quick line retrieval.
